Yamaha TF1 Digital Mixer: Mixing Made Better and Easier at DJ Z

Why did I choose the Yamaha TF1 mixing console?
My first digital mixing console, the Yamaha 01v96, elevated the sound and enhanced my experiance in the sound engineering world. However, many problems arose while using the mixing console. The age of the Yamaha 01v96 was the biggest concern to me. Of course, it was a Yamaha product so it was very good quality regardless of its age. The Yamaha 01v96 came out nearly 2 decades ago in 2004, over the years Yamaha have improved their digital mixer lineup. While I did purchase the 01v96 in the Fall of 2024, the limitations that the mixer held did not meet the requirements I needed. The screen was old, beige, and had a burn spot in the middle of the screen. The mixer also did not have wireless connectivity limiting me to control the mixer only in person. There is so much more I could share about this mixer but it would take me another whole blog to share.
But out of all of the digital mixers in the world did I choose the Yamaha TF1? Throughout my journey looking for a "new" digital mixer, I came across different options. The Yamaha DM3, Yamaha TF1, the Behringer X32 (Original/Compact), Allen & Heath QU-16, and so much more. The few I listed caught my eye. They all had something in common, I could control the mixer through my iPad. That was my biggest concern, I needed to have flexability in case I have big events or if I need to leave the console. Here is why the Yamaha TF1 blew me away:

Retiring the Yamaha 01v96
With great power comes great responsibility, the Yamaha TF1 is now the powerhouse of DJ Z. As for the Yamaha 01v96, it will remain at DJ Z in case of an emergency throughout the years to come. We will not be selling this mixer because of how old the mixer is and the limitations it has.
What This Means for you?
While the difference doesn't affect your overall experiace, it definentaly changes the game for me. It will make mixing the perfect sound easier for me. We’re dedicated to providing high-quality audio that makes your event unforgettable, and this upgrade is a big step toward that goal.
The Next Big Thing With Yamaha
As a DJ in the Colorado community, I am very excited for this upgrade. I have been a huge fan of Yamaha for a long time from their music equipment to their other equipment. Every piece of Yamaha equipment I’ve used has been an absolute game-changer, and I know the Yamaha TF1 will be no exception.
